July 22, 2011 Arrest Made in Store Clerk Shooting FITCHBURG — A Fitchburg man will be arraigned today on a charges stemming from the shooting late Wednesday night outside JV’s Variety Store, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. Rafael Garcia-Concepcion, 32, of 86 Cleghorn St., was arrested late last night and charged with armed assault with intent to murder and assault with a weapon with intent to commit robbery. He is expected to be arraigned this morning in Fitchburg District Court. Scott E. Person, 40, 781A Fitchburg State Road, Ashby remains in grave condition at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He was wounded in the attack by Garcia-Concepcion and a still unnamed attacker. State Police Detectives assigned to Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and Fitchburg Police are continuing to investigate. |
