WORCESTER — An Oxford man charged in connection with a beating in a strip club men’s room was indicted today by the Worcester County Grand Jury, Worcester District Joseph D. Early Jr. announced.
Easton Byfield, 36, of 30 Thayer Pond Drive, Apt. 8, Oxford, was indicted for unarmed robbery, assault and battery and aggravated kidnapping. He will be arraigned on Wednesday in Worcester Superior Court.
Mr. Byfield was summoned to Central District Court in February to face charges stemming from a beating in
the men’s room of the Platinum Premier Club in May of 2010. The victim, a man in his 20s, did not report incident to police when it happened, but it was recorded on a cell phone. When the video of the incident was posted on the Internet earlier this year, Worcester Police began an investigation that led to charges against Mr. Byfield.
